Maybe it’s time that you stop looking for a home in places, in people and in moments and accept that no matter how bruised and scarred you are; that no matter how broken your heart is – you are a home; your heart is your home and you deserve to be loved nonetheless.

Kai Masa, The Five Rules of Heartbreak

I love this...it resonates with me. Not so much the idea of deserving to be loved. I know I deserve to be loved...I believe we ALL do, and I believe that strongly. No...it's the idea of home that resonates. *I* am a home? How? for whom? My heart is my home? I have a very sad, very dark heart, with little glimmers of light that I used to believe were sunshine, but now I think are simply shimmery bits of treasures stolen from others, much like magpies that steal shiny things for their nests. I don't want to live in a home made of stolen joys and memories.
